I like snow when it stops before it covers everything. It is beautiful to watch as it is falling it is not beautiful to watch as you are shoveling. I do love watching it gently fall to earth however.

When I was in my 20’s I loved watching Magic Johnson and Larry Bird play. I didn’t like Magic Johnson because he played for Michigan State and Bird had spent part of his freshman year at IU so he was my personal favorite. When he ended up at the Celtics (my second favorite Pro Team) it was perfect for me.

I remember the great and epic battles between them.

I watched the Lakers play on television yesterday afternoon against my favorite team (who by the way has fallen a bit, but not as far as the Lakers) and I wondered what happened to that glorious show time team.

It just felt sad in the end to watch that team obviously play out the string. The Bulls aren’t great this year but they bring effort. Yesterday the Lakers brought tremendous effort but the missing talent was obvious. Sure they fought back and made the game close but that was against a Bulls team that is at best middle of the pack right now.

To my friends who are Lakers fans – I am pulling for them to at least right the ship and find some way to win a few games. It just looked sad yesterday.
