Went to see “The big year” last night. It was a touching, funny movie and I really enjoyed it.

I am getting closer to my newest goals – 1.5 million steps (only 170,000 to go) and 1000 posts to the DocAndersen blog. I’ve focused that blog on cloud and cloud concepts for awhile now. At some point the rain clouds are going to run try and I will have to “drift” to another topic.

22 years ago October 15th, 2011 I had my last date as a single person. I have been with Barb ever since. I think she had me at Chocolate.

Today is pride in my children day. I have to day that I am proud of all three for how they have handled the move. I moved when I was a child (twice a great distance) and it can be traumatic at times. My parents helped me through many years ago, and I hope Barb and I have helped the kids this time. Children are a gift that gives eternally.

Today I plan on walking a new direction. I get bored with the same path day after day. So today it is a new direction – a journey of discovery. Unlike Columbus  however I will not be traveling for months – probably about 2 hours total. But it is fun to think about a journey like that.

To infinity and beyond.

Yesterday was update device day (while working on cleaning the basement). you have to many devices when it takes more than an hour to update everything. Actually it is not possible to have to many gadgets. Its just possible you don’t have enough space and need to expand to a larger gadget hosting facility Smile

We hit the diner for dinner last night. They actually had a pretty decent band playing outside so we enjoyed dinner and music outside. It was a lot of fun, the band played music from the 60’s and 70’s. It really is a wonderful experience to be able to walk to dinner, hear live music and just relax, without having to rush to the car, park and then rush home in the car.

We ended up walking to the Main Street Café for desert. All in all a wonderful restful evening.

Today is get shelves up and see what I can do to bring a little closure to the basement issue.

onward and upward…

Went to see the movie “The Kings Voice” last night. Really a very solid movie. Colin Firth is a persona favorite of mine (I’ve loved every movie he has done) and this one may be his best one yet. I hope he at least gets an Oscar nod for this one – and Geoffrey Rush was incredible as well. It always seems to me that it is harder to play a real person than a fictional character. As real people had real emotions etc.

We ended up running late this am and missed church. All dressed up when we realized we were running really late we ended up going to Starbucks and spending some quality family time. IT was really nice to hang out and talk for an hour away from home and all the stressors that are there (as there are in any home). It amazes me how grown up all three of my children are now. We ended up talking about the boys first birthday and the clown/cake incident. The clown was scary (seemed to be someone right out of rehab – shaking and all). The cake however was a class first birthday thing. The boys each had a cake, and the dived in literally. We ended up throwing both high chairs into the pool to clean them and taking both boys to the tub right away to get most of the frosting off of them. Without a doubt the best possible outcome.

Enough for now –
