Daily Wander

First, to use the old analogy, it isn’t very clear when you talk outside of both sides of your mouth. Which one in the end is it? Does the President have absolute immunity for actions while the President? Or, as they are now claiming, a president had considered having a political opponent killed is illegal, immoral and just downright wrong. It can’t be both pick a side and stay on that side.

Desolation 2It’s a contradiction that can’t be sustained. The falsehoods are now being disseminated at an alarming rate. I’ve long believed political rhetoric must be curbed, especially the incessant repetition of lies. There’s a difference between bending the truth for impact and outright deception.

The crowd was huge.

That is bending the facts a little.

We had over 100,000 people in an area that could barely accommodate 30,000 despite the video evidence showing ample space to move around (and many choosing to leave). This mirrors the situation during a past inauguration, where the crowd was noticeably smaller than the political narrative suggested.

Or my new favorite line, which is used to push problems off to tomorrow: “I am going to have a policy in a couple of days; it will be the most amazing policy ever seen.” We’ve heard that for years but have not seen a single policy that works.

Lies, oft-repeated, do not become the truth. They remain lies.
