The constant lies make me sad. They frustrated me until I realized the former president couldn’t help it. The most recent rally in NYC, with aerial photos showing a fairly small crowd, could still be claimed as a decent turnout. This constant manipulation of facts is not just disheartening but also deeply frustrating. Ask not can you lie, ask what does the truth reveal?
Instead, the former president’s campaign used a rally picture of Former President Obama’s rally. Not only was it not in NYC (in St Louis), but it was several years ago and had nothing to do with the former president. The lies keep coming.
The flip-flops on women’s rights make me sad. The flip-flops on Mexico, the wall, and the great immigration issue make me sad. A wise man once said take a position and defend that position. When you need to stop and change your position, act accordingly.
That means you say I was wrong when you have to change your position. I see things differently now. Please don’t cause your support whiplash by changing positions based on the audience you are addressing. That isn’t a position.
That is political rhetoric without connection to facts, truth, or morality.
